For the chapters that don’t come with an aisle. Lifestyle sessions built for people who want their real life documented beautifully
These sessions are about letting real life happen and giving it the attention it deserves. I’ll guide you when needed, especially if it feels awkward at first, and then I step back to witness. What I’m watching for is recognition of the moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re gone.
Based in Castle Rock, photographing families, couples, and real life across Colorado and beyond. There isn’t one version of this. Some sessions are quiet. Some are loud. Some are a little chaotic in the best way. The backdrop matters — not because it steals the show, but because it supports the feeling of it. Here’s how we decide what fits.
Slow, personal, and unpolished in all the right ways. Barefoot mornings. Coffee on the counter. A nursery half-finished. Kids climbing into your bed. The light moving through your kitchen while you make breakfast together. In-home sessions are intimate because they’re yours. Nothing borrowed. Nothing staged. Perfect for pregnancy, newborns, and the seasons that feel tender and fleeting.
Movement. Texture. Story. Maybe it’s a penny arcade — neon lights and sticky floors while your five-year-old pulls tickets and forgets I’m there. Maybe it’s a trail outside Red Rocks. A small town main street. The garage where the project car is always halfway done. We don’t clean it up, we lean into it. The result feels honest and documentary.
Clean, intentional, and editorial. Flooded natural light or high flash and shadow if we’re leaning bold. Studio sessions strip away distraction and let posture, movement, and connection take center stage. This is where documentary meets composition in a more obvious way.
Start by filling out the form below. We’ll cover the essentials — who this is for, the season you’re in, where you’re thinking of shooting, and what you want this to feel like. You’ll also get access to my pricing philosophy right away so nothing feels unclear from the start.
Inquire
If it feels aligned, we’ll hop on a quick discovery call. Ideally both of you join if it’s a couples session, but this is meant to feel easy. We’ll talk through location, tone, any nerves you might have, and how to shape the session so it feels natural and elevated.
Phone or Zoom, it's your call. I like seeing faces, but I’m flexible. By the end, you’ll know exactly what to expect.
The Call
Once we’re good to go, I'll send over a link to the Groundwork and we’ll secure your date with a signed contract and deposit. No long questionnaires here, just clarity and confirmation.
The Groundwork
Four weeks before your session, you’ll receive the Out West Field Guide. It covers wardrobe, flow, location nuances, kids, pets, studio etiquette — everything you need to feel prepared without overthinking it.
We’ll also reconnect closer to your date to confirm details and make sure everything flows smoothly.
The Field Guide
This is where it all settles in. Some moments I’ll guide, and some I’ll simply witness. We’ll move, pause, reset, and adjust when needed. There’s room for nerves, kids being kids, wind in your hair, and awkward laughs that turn into real ones.
You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to be “good at photos.” You just need to show up. I’ll take care of the rest.
The Day
you want to notice what’s actually happening, not the perfect posture or practiced smiles. you crave to see The quiet way your partner reaches for you when no one’s watching. The way your toddler presses their forehead into yours when they’re tired. The in-between moments that don’t ask to be photographed — but deserve to be remembered.
My work lives between documentary and editorial. I let things unfold naturally, and when the moment calls for it, I step in and help shape it so the memory looks as good as it feels.
Most lifestyle clients invest between $1,000–$1,500, depending on location, structure, and creative direction.
Out West lifestyle sessions typically run 60–90 minutes. Long enough to move locations within a space, reset if needed, take breaks for kids or dogs, and build rhythm without burning out. If we’re incorporating multiple locations, a studio + outdoor combo, or something more layered creatively, we’ll design the timing accordingly.
Lifestyle sessions are designed to give enough time to settle in, loosen up, and let something real happen without dragging it out or rushing through it.
We design the day together, with a natural stopping point that both protects the experience and keeps it intentional.
Yes. While I’m rooted in Castle Rock, I photograph lifestyle sessions throughout Colorado and am always open to meaningful travel. If you’re planning a session in the mountains, in another state, or somewhere personal to you, let’s talk about it.
More than okay — expected.
You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. Some moments unfold quietly and others need gentle direction. I'll guide when it helps and step back when it doesn't. You're never left floundering and you're never forced into something that doesn't feel like you. You just show up honestly. I’ll take care of the rest.
I hand-edit every image with care. Art takes time, and I don’t rush it.
June–October: 8–12 weeks
Off-season: 6–8 weeks
A 30% deposit reserves your date.
The remaining balance is due by the morning of your elopement and can be split into multiple payments.
Your date isn’t held until the contract is signed and the deposit is received.
If the story is still unfolding, we decide together whether it’s worth staying for.
Flow is mutual, extensions are intentional, and nothing is assumed from either side.
Rica Dona + Hendra
There just aren’t enough words to possibly describe how amazing each and every photo that Elise snaps, and how quickly she would delivers them.
Elise has captured so many beautiful moments of my family’s life. She was very energetic, engaging, and so great with our little one. Her communication was clear and efficient. She would go above and beyond to find the right venues for us.
She is a very talented photographer and I highly recommend her to anyone else looking for a maternity or family photographer.

We live in Chicago but any chance we get to visit the Denver area, I make sure to schedule a photo shoot with Elise. She is a leader in her field. She captures genuine moments of our real family. She goes with the flow, shares her honest opinion, and truly becomes part of our family each time. She is wonderful with our young children and a joy to be around. We cherish and adore our time with her. The pictures we receive are the real bonus! The photos are a treasure that we will love forever.
